Morpheus

ATP Sandbox Adv. HeuristicsAV

Morpheus is a detection name for malware that uses polymorphic techniques to change its appearance and evade signature based detection. Polymorphic families rewrite their own code as they spread or download fresh copies from servers, so each sample looks different while behaving identically. Detections under this name call for behavioral analysis rather than hash matching, because the malware's structure will not stay constant between infections.
